Summary

Potassium Dichromate is very poisonous and should be handled with care. The magnesium must also be treated with potassium dichromate prior to use, as described on page 125 of Shimizus book Fireworks, the Art, Science and Technique.

7/16″ cut stars will flash at 2-3 Hz with a burn time of around 5 seconds. Prime with a first layer of Shimizu Twinkler Igniter (see under primes) in a ratio of one pound per two pounds of dried stars, using NC/acetone as the binder. A final prime of meal is applied in a ratio of one pound per 7.5 pounds of dried stars, again using the NC/acetone binder.
